Ridgefield Music Matters

Welcome to the Ridgefield Music Matters Official Site!

Supporting Music in Ridgefield Public Schools.

A successful music program comes from an inspired community of teachers, administrators, students, and parents.  Ridgefield Music Matters is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run by parents of Ridgefield High School students of instrumental music, including Symphonic Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Applied Percussion.  Parental support is vital in event planning, fundraising, and general support of our community of musicians.

This page is designed to be one stop shopping for parents, so that you can visit your child's ensemble page and:

  • See the calendar for just your child

  • Sign up to help at events

  • Pay dues

Fundraising Efforts

Our mission is to provide supplementary assistance to the RHS music program that extends beyond the basic level of what a reasonable school budget can provide.  A big part of what we do is raise funds to support the purchase of equipment, subsidize trips, and to provide a better experience for the kids.

Become a Pep Band Parent

Pep Band is an activity open to all students enrolled in the music department, not just band students.  The Pep Band plays in the stands at the home football games and supports the Tigers.  It is super fun and a great thing for building community.

We need parents to play a role in organizing Pep Band!

FunkRaiser is the single largest event we do to raise the most money for the RHS Music Program.   We need all hands on deck for this one.

Get Involved

Without your help, we could never provide the things we do to make the RHS Music program an experience for our kids to remember.  Most of what you can do is volunteer to provide services at events, such as concerts, evening rehearsals, field trips, banquets, and other planned social activities.
